Here is a posting by the amazing Mike Jochum. Bow down to his percussive agility. It may remind you of the rhythmic beatings you received during your tumultuos younger years.
ok ricardo,
i have finally made it through the cyber chase and am ready to kick some but in the ineletual pareing. your site is pregnant dogen, beyonrd reproach, but i must admit for the unanitiatied it is a bit duaunting and didactic at best. in the mean time, tracey has been a blast, and heres an idea, i under your tutalege can actually M.D. after you do the inittial set up. i could do that for real, and it is something i could "really" sink my teeth into". what doth thou thinkest mon liege?
just food for thought, M

well, i must say that the second viewing of the "tracey show" was revelatory to say the most. there was this trombone player who came out of the wings (and probably out of retirement) to play a little tune called "put it where you want it". the crusaders were good, but the band that played my new "favorite version" was in a word, mediocre. i don't mean that in a bad way, i mean it in, a well, way. that is all for now. one more thing...that guitar player is soooooooooooooooo cute. i was also amazed that the sax player was doing all that cool stuff with NO MUSIC. i used to play guitar (well actually my cousin did), and i never read any music either. isn't that a coinsidence! LOL. Well, good by for now, and as blake (the famous poet, not the actor that killed his pathetic wife) would say, "there is no time like right now". he didn't really say that. i made it up.

one more thing,
was i dreaming, or did water start dripping from the ceiling? i figured that if it was really happening, that it must be part of the show. if i would have known that the show was going to have water in it (ala cirque de soliel), i would have worn my rubbers instead of just having a couple in mywallet.. one more thing...was it just an illusion or was that sax guy facing in the opposite direction of the musical director? was that a "zen" kind of thing, or was he trying to present the "good" side of his face to the camera. one more thing...

and another thing...
have you considered doing a show with tracey ullman as the captian of the battlestar galactica? i can just picture it...you know what, those smiley things are really stupid, or maybe it is because i have no idea how to use them. you know what they say about computers. " they answer questions, but don't ask any". wow!
tracey at the helm of her own space cruiser, dancers by her side performing "thank heavens for little space aliens peoples 'cause little space aliens peoples get greener every days". i think you get the idea. you might want to talk to your people about that one. by the way, are the space vehicles on that show real? i would like to get one so i could jet(no pun intended) around space at will. how much are those things anyway? i would think they wouldn't be any more exspensive than a mercedes or an audi or a BMW or a prius or a suburban. one more thing...do they have galactica dealerships [one word?] in lala land. they have just about everything else here. i am from the mid-west ( refered to as "our thingy head presidents middle america power base"), and battlestar stores are few and far bettween. it's interesting that the theme of B.tll starG.tica is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo different than it should be (what!). i liked the version that cute and talented michael nowman sang on. it is much more lyric like. i think mr. now sounded a bit like a wounded yak, but i don't have a problem with that (dig the rhyme)[yak and that]. it actually would have been really cool if michaels vocal performance was recorded on the HIGHEST SUSPENSION BRIDGE IN THE WORLD(the royal gorge suspension bridge is over i,ooo feet above the bottom of the gorge). some people might think this is no big thing, but my gorge also boasts a snack bar that sells funnel cakes with or without homemade ice cream. it is in keeping with the vibe of the incredible dramatic "arc" of B.G.ca. the drama being that you are way high up in the air. one more thing... if i was to purchase one of those spaceships, what kind of mileage would i get? do they make a hybrid B.G.tica ship? just wondering. does anyone post anything on this site? i think i need to get the ball rolling.

Ladies and gentlemen, You all have just been treated to the inimitable rants of Michael Jochum, drummist extraordinaire. I was the aforementioned musical director for Tracey's new special, Mike was manning the traps. I think he was frustrated that Tracey didn't let him come out in front of his kit and address the audience directly, so he is venting here. Rave on, Mr. Jochum!!

I think everyone else is afraid of you, Michael. Wimps.
Hunter S. Thompson AND Spaulding Gray - the world is less interesting now.

i agree mr. composer. spaulding at least had the class to "do it" without his kids in the house with him. the bottom line, two brilliant minds, history. we have the unfortunate media blitz of michael and robert, and it seems like the "real" get treated as if it is the most important sh45t is about who made the most money or who has (or had) the most stuff. even chaucer and blake had an empiathy for their fellow man. in the meantime, i was wondering if any of your articulate forward thinking "message board people" have the intention of actually responding to my postings. i will, and am anxious to take on anyone, except for ribbs, who will give me a run for my "stream of conciousness" rants.
peace

Watch out for Stan Ridgway - he has joined our illustrious bb crew as Joe the Genius. He can rant with the best of 'em. Check out the new thread he started. Btw, started mixing the show - excellent drumming, Miguel. There is talk of a four-month stint in N.Y. We talked about your involvement. Call for details.

STAN FREAKING RIDGEWAY..
if you think for one nano-second that i would even cherish (the word i most desire) the thought, you are right on the money. stan, you are a poet in the realm of blake, a songperson in the class of waits, and you at least have the sanity to stick around (i.e. hunter and spalding) for a while. i will go to your posting and see what doth has to say my most respected liege. just don't be pisssssed if i don't use one of those smiley things. by the way, i would have loved E.T. if the little alien had actually met his maker in the last real (reel). i can picture that cute little shi8t at the end going "bye, bye" for real whilst melinda dillon thought about wheather {sp.} she was going to get at least one more acting gig. i have much more to say, but i am toooo intrigued by a posting by stan...see you soon ... one more thang...
