heres qustions we would like to ask ( sent the same on ur pm) here they r for everybodys knowlege:
1. Are you already working on the project? I assume you and Jontathan write music, what is Clive's role in this? Is he a story writter?
We are just in the very beginning stages - conceptualizing, figuring out the big picture and the players before we get down to the nitty-gritty of songwriting. Clive will be working on the story.
2.Will it be typical opera or rather kind of rock musical? I mean: is it going to be all instrumental with only typical opera arias, or there will be some songs that Jonathan can sing?
There will be nothing typical about anything we do on this. Definitely NOT 'rock opera', but also not Wagnerian either. Orchestral, but with unusual orchestration, choral, but maybe with a Bulgarian choir or the Harlem Boys Choir (I'm just postulating here). We'll see..
The plan is not for Jon to be a performer - but that's not to say we couldn't record some of the music for release somewhere with his voice. Honestly we haven't really discussed that. We're more interested in writing it right now.
3. In our previous interview you've said, you guys have "something else up your sleeves though". Did you mean this opera exactly?
Yup.
4. What does title 'Oblivion' mean? Who did come out with the whole idea of the opera, its title and subject? Its going to be about the end if the world, right? Could you tell someting more? Is there some message hidding behind the thing?
I came up with the title - the basic concept is the end of humanity. Wiktionary defines oblivion as 'the state of being completely forgotten'. I'm adding a punctuation mark to that - 'the state of being; completely forgotten'. We will be exploring some very very dark places.
5. This end of the world, is it going to be based on Bible, some prophecy, your ideas, or some Clive Barker's story?
At this stage I'd rather leave things to the imagination until we are further along - but I can tell you that this will be the darkest vision and sound to cross the stage. Ever.
6. Could u tell us more or less about the release date and way of Oblivion?
Too early, though I think 'release' implies that this is a recording or a movie. Initially, at least, it is not. It is a live opera.
i hope u can answer some of them
