Richard,
Would you happen to still have the original vocal samples for Cry of the Vatos? I was kinda surprised that it wasn't performed at last year's show, but perhaps the Boys could open up this year's show with that track. I thought using the original samples would be better than trying to re-create them.
Another question...When joining OB, did you come into the group with all of your own equipment and were any band funds set aside to purchase new equipment, or did the members have to pay for all of their own gear?
How's the Woodshed website coming along? Looking forward to seeing the studio and setup.
Again, Thanks for being so active in the forums and taking the time with us forum members.

Nah, lost those samples many years ago. Maybe Danny has a copy, but I seriously doubt it. All of the samples were of Johnny Hernandez, digitized into our Emulator (8bit, 2" sampling time!).
I joined the band with a decent keyboard rig of my own - Prophet 5 (state-of-the-art at the time), Minimoog, Fender Rhodes, various toys. The band would purchase new keys from time to time - the Emulator (that was a very big deal - about $8k, I think it was), a Vox Continental organ, Yamaha CS80 synth (that was a 300 lb. dog), a spare Emulator in case the first one crashed, Arp Odyssey, Roland TB303 (the latter two supplying he bass for Grey Matter). I was also buying my own gear at the same time to supplement the band stuff.
Sorry about the Woodshed site - I've just been too busy to drive that one home. Soon, soon.
