D, I have a little surprise for you - the lead voice in the main title is actually a guy named Michael Now. The upper harmony is done by a woman, however.

I was listening to the clips on your site from BsG and it reminded me of how good it is. While what McCreary does is decent, I've never really "loved" it.
He worked for you, did he not?

Bear was my assistant at the time Michael Rymer called me to score Battlestar. The schedule was crazy nuts, so I had Bear write a handful of cues. When the series proper started, the producers asked me to score that as well. I couldn't commit the necessary time to do that while also scoring films, so I suggested that I write the main themes and score a few episodes and then hand it off to Bear - which is exactly what happened. I think Bear has done a stellar job. No two composers are alike (thank goodness) and no two listeners have the same taste (ditto) - hence sentiments like yours and also others I have seen who feel exactly the opposite. To each his own, ya?
