Hey Richard,
It's Chris from the Columbia College group that saw your enclave studio Saturday. Thanks so much, it blew my mind.
One thing I was curious about was your relationship with Tom Waits. I see that you've been involved with him, just wondering what kind of experience it was. I've been a fan of his work so just curious about how it was to work with him.
\M/ Chris

How goes it Chris? I wish I had a pithy Tom Waits story for you, but I don't. Somebody we knew in common (don't remember who, probably an engineer) knew I had what at the time was a very eclectic homegrown library of sounds for my then state-of-the-art Emulator - all of 8 bits and 2 seconds of sampling time that beast was - and called me specifically for my glass harmonica sounds. I went to the studio, played the parts Tom requested, and left. Pretty much all I can remember. Ask me about Korn or Boingo - then I got stories!

"Are you saying there's something wrong with my drumming?" Tom Waits to James Osterberg aka Iggy Pop in Coffee and Cigarrettes. Well Ribbs, what do you think? Does Waits stretch himself?
