Now that Tracey's new show is getting rave reviews, the questions are starting to come. The music in the series, can't go unnoticed. It adds such a magical, and beautiful touch. Of course, Richard, would be the only one who could possibly deliver that!
I believe I hear, Dvorak's Symphony no.9 .
What about the other pieces of instrumentation? Do they have names? Descriptions?
Thank you again, for delivering such amazing work!

Sorry it took so long to respond here. Thanks for noticing the music and saying such lovely things.
The Dvorak was Tracey's idea. She has always loved the New World Symphony. They licensed a performance of it and it is that performance that is scattered thruout the show, including the main title music. The fun for me was to adapt the many themes within that piece to different instruments and/or to imagine Dvorak collaborating with contemporary musicians and composers. I'm fond of one piece that demonstrates what I think Phillip Glass and Dvorak would have done together. Tracey loves the piece I did wherein I utilized another NW theme performed in the style of Pat Metheny's 'Last Train Home' - hence its recurrence a few times.
All in all it was fun to do and good to continue our long time working relationship. The exciting news is that Showtime has ordered another run of episodes, so we'll soon see who Mr. Dvorak will be collaborating with next! Any ideas anyone?
